A church with a heart of LOVE!

’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. ‘This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ’Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV). ‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion, prayer and intelligence.’ Matthew 22:37 (MSG). ‘Love extravagantly…’ 1 Corinthians 13:13 (MSG).

1. LOVE GOD

This means to lead a God-centered life, loving him with all our passion, knowledge, emotion and strength, putting Him first, making his priorities our priorities and declaring “Your will, not mine”, that we live close to the One who has set us free, having personally encountered Jesus’ love, forgiveness and grace, to know we are known and to live to know Him more.

2. LOVE PEOPLE

We’ll be known for our extravagant love for others out of the love we have received; being generous, unconditional, and doing above and beyond what is required. Love sees the best, it never gives up; love rescues, recovers and restores. Our love will transform lives! Love is spelt ‘E.F.F.O.R.T!’

3. LOVE LIFE

To know we were born for a purpose, on purpose and on time! God has created you brilliantly, planting abilities and talents within you. To love yourself is to understand that God first loved you just as you are, to know that you are precious, respected and valued. Stand confident, shine bright and commit to growth, becoming all you can be.

A church that speaks in FAITH and TRUTH, that is the HOPE and stands in UNITY:

FAITH says; “The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:37 (NLT). Faith believes, faith trusts, faith is faithful to God and His purposes. Faith is thankful for the things not yet seen and persists through adversity. Faith asks for the impossible and receives miracles, breakthrough and lives transformed. Faith is confident in the future, released from the past and lives full of faith for today.

HOPE; The bible says to “hope unswervingly”, which means to be steadfast, constant & undeviating from what we are believing for. We are to be relentless in our pursuit of what God has promised will happen, and that we’ll ‘hopefully’ see much more!! After all, we’re not in a win/lose scenario, but a win win! Hope says, “It’s a new day, what’s the best that can happen?”

TRUTH; We are desperate to see people finding freedom in every sphere of life, by having a personal revelation of Jesus and allowing Him to set them free. To not only know of Him, but also to encounter His love, power and grace, which restores hearts, changes mindsets and equips us for life, from the inside out!

UNITY says; “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1 (NIV). “I’m with you, I support you, I’ll add strength to you and it’s not about me!” It’s standing together with ONE vision for the common cause of advancing the Kingdom of God; it’s speaking the same language, protecting, building and moving
forward as ONE. “Where God sees unity, He commands a blessing.” (Psalm 133:3). Together we will see greater things!

 

Our Culture

 

Adventure
The Indiana Jones life: ‘Ordinary people doing extraordinary things,’ having fun and enjoying the journey. Adventure is daring to do, taking a risk, being bold and facing danger. It’s about participating in the excitement of what God is doing and being about His business, locally, nationally and globally.
Relational
We’re friendly, welcoming and helpful. A family: fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, a community of all ages building together, with genuine love, care and acceptance. Open to all, a safe environment where people can flourish and build solid, long lasting friendships.
Accessible
The door held open 24/7 to all ages from all walks of life. That’s it! Clear, easy to understand the gospel made plain in a real and relevant way so that ALL can access the truth. It’s attractive and interesting, drawing people in, not away!
Generous
Lavish! Extravagant! Going above and beyond and not just doing what is required. It’s being big and expressive in every area of life. Equipped, resourced and able.
Passion
Enthusiasm, that overflows and is seen. It is big hearts wanting and willing to build the house and advance God’s kingdom whatever the cost. It’s first in, last out, ready to serve, willing to give, behind what’s going on and supportive of what’s happening. Shouting loud, loving the life and wearing a smile.
Ownership
It’s ‘our’ language, “this is mine, I’ll protect it, love it, grow it.” It’s ‘our’ action; I’ll be there, serve, pay for it and make it happen. I know I’m needed and that I belong and have a BIG part to play.
Brilliant
Shining bright, excelling and seeing miracle growth. Training, developing, equipping and investing so that brilliance is seen.
Purpose
Living in God’s best, thriving, dreaming and knowing what God has and calls us to do, and… doing it! It’s uncompromising and intentional, not giving in or giving up but seeing it through. It’s the reason for which we exist to build his kingdom.
Sent
I am sent as His hands and feet everyday into my world to make and be the difference, grabbing opportunities and seeing endless possibilities.
Strength
A confident, unstoppable, relentless and victorious roar! Built on a solid rock, not swept aside by circumstance or situations. Growing, maturing and courageously and consistently being committed to the cause!
Prayer & Praise
Believing in the power and authority of prayer. Seeking God first. Being devoted and seeing breakthrough. Ask, believe and receive. PRAISE is not silent, it’s loud and proud. We shout out and jump about! IT’S PRAISE!
Honour
Respect, value and distinction. Treating people right and holding every individual in high regard.
